2014 USAPL Powerlifting High School Nationals

What an amazing meet!  Here are our reports:

High School Nationals Preview

Day 1 – USAPL High School Powerlifting Nationals

Day 2 – USAPL High School Powerlifting Nationals

Day 3 – USAPL High School Powerlifting Nationals

 Results

As you can see from our rankings, lifting exists outside of your state. I encourage you to represent your state and school at the greatest powerlifting meet in the country at the USAPL Powerlifting High School Nationals to be held in Killeen, Texas. I consider Killeen (central Texas) to be the heart of Powerlifting in the United States! With (most probably) a record number of lifters, this years meet is also starting to shape up as one of the most competitive in history!

Johnny Graham - Powerlifting High School Nationals

The quality of the meet, facility, and event staff will be absolutely world class. Johnny Graham (above) and his crew need no introduction; they have proven time and again that they put on a phenomenal meet. Will you be there?

Dates: March 28-30th

Place: Killeen Civic & Conference Center

How to Qualify

The meet is sanctioned by USA Powerlifting. Check out USAPowerlifting.com to find more information about their organization, rules, and drug-testing policies. This meet has both Junior Varsity (Fresh/Soph) and Varsity (Jr/Sr) divisions. 1. Become a member and qualify at an USAPL sanctioned meet. 2. Successfully lift the appropriate qualifying totals. Qualifying totals can be found here. 3. Complete the Entry Form and have it postmarked by March 14th, 2014 ($90 late fee). Do not procrastinate with your travel plans.  The USAPL Powerlifting High School Nationals is also one of the qualifying meets for the IPF SubJunior and Junior World Championships held in Oroshaza, Hungary [More Info]. I hope to see you in Killeen! Email me if you have any questions.

  1. Hello,

My son will be representing his High School in the National Powerlifting meet. He is in the 165 lb weight class. Is there a schedule of when each weight class will lift? Also, will the awards ceremony for each weight class take place the same day as they lift. My family an I are traveling very for to get to Killeen and we are trying to make plans for the trip and schedule around our work schedules. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

  2. Derek,

Thanks for your comment. Please take a look at the entry form (link below). The schedule is developed based on previous competitions and the estimated number of lifters per weight class coming to the meet. Johnny Graham and his staff do a great job of projecting these numbers and times. Yes, the awards ceremony will take place immediately after the conclusion of each session.

These times are subject to change. As entries are currently being processed by Mr. Graham, I am sure if any adjustments were to be made to the schedule, they would be communicated to all the lifters.

  6. Hello,

As we plan our trip to nationals I was wondering if there will be a roster posted of registered lifters per weight class prior to the meet? Thanks.

    • Keri & Emily,

As of Monday, I am not aware of a flight schedule. I do know that the roster is close to being finalized by the meet staff. This must be completed before flight schedule is produced.

Of course, if I find out a flight schedule we will post it here and send out an email to our subscribers.

  7. I am looking forward this weekend! This organization seems to be well organized and ready to answer any questions! Here’s mine…..will the listing of lifters, weight class and totals be available before hand to just coaches or parents as well?

    • Cindy,

I am not officially associated with the USAPL or High School Nationals. I am an independent media agency that promotes High School Powerlifting.

I do not know if an official roster will be released before you travel to the meet. I am checking on this.

However, THURSDAY at NOON we will release our preview and predictions article.

  8. Trey,

Thank you so much for the awesome pic of Drake on his dead lift. We had a wonderful time during Nationals and seeing this picture of him, the look of determination is the icing on the cake!

I sincerely appreciate the work you put in to make powerlifting a SPORT we can all be proud of!

    Thanks again,

    Tracy :)
